FOSTER CARE PROGRAM
At Central Texas Children's Home (CTCH), we believe that every child is a gift from God, deserving of love, care, and a family that nurtures them in faith. Our Christian foster care program is dedicated to providing Christ-centered homes where children can heal, grow, and experience the unconditional love of Jesus. We invite faithful families to open their hearts and homes to these children in need.

The Need for Foster Care
Children across Texas face challenging circumstances that necessitate temporary or permanent placement in foster homes. With approximately 20,000 children in the Texas foster care system, the need for loving and stable homes is profound. Each year, many young adults age out of the system without the necessary support to transition successfully into adulthood. By becoming a foster parent, you can make a significant difference in a child's life, offering them hope and a brighter future.

Goals of Foster Care
Foster care serves as a sanctuary for children coming from abusive or neglectful environments, providing them with safety and stability. The primary objectives of foster care include.

-
Provide Safe and Loving Homes: Grounded in God’s love and biblical teachings. Ensuring children are in a secure environment where they are shielded from harm.
-
Stability and Healing: Helping children experience hope and faith. Offering a consistent and nurturing home where children can heal and grow.
-
Family Reunification or Permanency: Working towards reunifying children with their biological families when safe and possible, or finding them permanent homes through adoption or guardianship.

By embracing trauma-informed care, we support the emotional and psychological well-being of children, guiding them through their experiences with compassion and understanding. Recognizing that every child has faced challenges, we believe in the power of healing through God's love.
