EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

We are seeking a responsible and compassionate individual to provide overnight supervision for a children’s home cottage. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children during nighttime hours. While the children are typically asleep, the Night Awake Staff will remain alert and available to respond to any needs, emergencies, or disturbances that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the night.

• Conduct routine safety checks and bed checks to ensure all children are accounted for and sleeping safely.

• Provide appropriate supervision and assistance if a child wakes up, has a concern, or requires support during the night.

• Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies, following established protocols.

• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of overnight activities, incidents, and any child interactions.

• Ensure all rules and guidelines of the children’s home are followed during overnight hours.

• Complete required training, including pre-service and annual training sessions.

• Communicate with day staff and supervisors to report any incidents or concerns.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.

• A compassionate and patient demeanor when working with children.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license (documentation required upon employment).

• Prior experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

• Must pass a background check and drug screening before employment.

• Ability to stay awake and alert throughout the entire shift.
