We are looking at finding a set of missionaries! We are looking for a Christian couple to live on the campus located in Buda, TX, just south of Austin, and care for children ages 5-18. This job is best suited for those couples who are interested in doing direct ministry work and making a difference in the life of young people who have been abused, neglected, and abandoned and are unable to live at home or with their families.

Job Description:

House parents are employed as a couple and are directly responsible for the supervision of the children in their cottage.  All supervision of children must be conducted within policy as mandated by the Home and DFPS/HHSC Minimum Standards.

House parents are responsible for the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of the children entrusted to them.  They should strive for the best possible training of the children in matters such as cleanliness, manners, academics, discipline, sportsmanship, and religion.

House parents deal with children’s current issues on a daily basis.  The focus of the house parent’s attention is on the child’s physical/emotional safety and interpersonal relationships.  House parents are responsible for the orderly operation of the cottage.  The husband and wife must contribute their rightful share to fulfilling the duties.

Requirements: 

• Be at least 25 years of age or older 

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required 

• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record 

• Ability to pass a thorough background check
